Unitary patent granted
We are happy to announce that the European Patent Office has validated our patent as a Unitary Patent, which protects our intellectual property in 17 EU member states and the United Kingdom.
New additions to the team
Gintare holds a bachelors degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Utrecht University and a masters degree in Chemical Biology from Uppsala University. She has experience in a wide range of areas such as molecular recognition, drug design and NMR spectroscopy.
Ewa holds a bachelor degree in Chemistry and forensic toxicology. She is currently completing her master's degree in Chemistry with a specialization in Radiogenomics, which has enabled her to expand her knowledge in innovative healthcare solutions. In her ongoing master's thesis, she focuses on the development and improvement of radiopharmaceuticals. She has experience in creating voltammetric sensors for microplastic detection.

Mark has extensive experience in the research area of interest, having developed highly sensitive synthetic affinity reagents for different biomarkers such as Covid-19 and steroids.

Pharmista wins the public award at the IRsummit2023
More than 200, EU-funded companies applied to the Innovation Radar Summit 2023. Following an initial scan, 36 were selected to compete for a pitching spot at the event. These finalists then participated in an online open voting, which was weighed against the judgment of outside evaluators and experts in the field. 36 was narrowed down to 12, and out of these companies, Pharmista was announced the winner of the publics vote 🎉🎉
Welcoming Radvile Zubryté as Pharmistas CSO
We are happy to welcome Radvile Zubryté to the team as our CTO! She has been working on the project for the last 1,5 years and has gained extensive experience around the utilization of SARs in reusable sensors for pregnancy testing. We are thrilled to have her on board full time to work together towards Pharmista’s vision.
Pharmista joins Time to Raise
Time to Raise is a program designed to assist female founded companies in raising capital. The program invites investors, KOL’s and other mentors to provide guidance and training to maximize the likelihood of raising capital and connect with potential investors.
Alice participates in Dagens Industris competition Female Founders
For the seventh year in a row, Dagens Industri highlights female-led companies at their annual Female Founders event. This year, Alice was selected as one of the finalists alongside six other founders from a selection of 70 applications and got to pitch in front of the crowd.
EPO approves Pharmistas patent application
The EPO has approved Pharmistas European patent application for “A REUSABLE TEST DEVICE” following our successful PCT application. The recognition from the EPO signifies a breakthrough achievement in the field of reusable in vitro diagnostics and underscores the novelty of Pharmista’s reusable platform technology.
Pharmista presents at TechBBQ
Pharmista is one of the eight top finalists of the inaugural Life Science startup competition at TechBBQ.
TechBBQ, once a simple BBQ for tech enthusiasts, is now Scandinavia’s key startup summit, drawing 7,500+ global attendees. The Life Sciences Startup Competition, backed by Novo Nordisk Foundation and presented by XTC at techBBQ, will feature the top eight finalists pitches.
Celebrating Bhavika Dhar’s MSc graduation
We are exited to celebrate Bhavika Dhar’s recent graduation with an MSc in integrated product design from TU Delft - Industrial Design Engineering.
Bhavikas thesis focused on elevating the pregnancy detection experience, using Pharmista’s technology and product as a case study. Witnessing her design concepts evolve and learning how design can overcome technical barriers has been truly helpful for our future developments.

Pharmista receives an International Preliminary Report on Patentability (IPRP) from the EPO concerning Pharmista’s PCT application, acknowledging patentability of claims
Pharmista receives funding from the EU
We are happy to be one of the selected companies for the WomenTechEU grant of €75'000, supporting early-stage female led companies in deeptech. The grant is financed by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) and will help us to improve our reusable detection technology and push the business forward!
